What happens in a turtle's life?

Greetings fellow bloggers,
This is very sad news that I have to report to you today. Now you can see that there is a slideshow with a picture of a turtle. If you flick through the slide, you can see that the sad news is that, a turtle has been washed up on 90 mile beach dehydrated, and injured by it's left fin. There were only six slides that my teacher has put on, but I added 5 more slides so it doesn't sound boring, and also look plain. I also added some video clips that are relative to what I was explaining about in the slideshow.  Flick through the slide, and see what you can find about turtles, that you didn't know before, and maybe you could tell friends and family on what you have learnt from this slideshow. I have been working on this work only for 2 weeks, and I also have been doing it before bedtime. To be honest I think some of the slides will make you cry, and I won't tell you why. If you like this slideshow or, are even interested in it please, please, please, please leave a positive and thoughtful comment bellow. That's all that I have for now, but don't worry more work will be coming, and posted for you to look at.

Let's make this town BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Hello bloggers, It's me again and I am here with one my of my favourite pieces of work. Underneath you can see a personal response which I have done quite a lot of times. This is a different personal response, it's about a book that our group read which was called Panting the Town. The book is really interesting to read because it's actually about a man called Wayne and, Holly Ross doing graffiti and art, on the walls in Christchurch. I didn't do any thing for didn't understand because I didn't have anything, that I didn't understand. The made me think about response always made me, think about doing art in kindy when I was little, and also doing other art while I was growing up in school. It's a lot of memories that I can remember from a little girl to grown girl. Remember to always feel free to read any piece of artwork that is blogged on my blog. Also if you are reading this right now, please feel free to comment on my work.
SEE YOU GUYS SOON
Personal Response - Painting the Town by Renata Hopkins

Directions
During or after reading record your personal thoughts and questions under each heading.

QUESTION
  • Why is graffiti so popular and why are they doing this to the walls?

  • How did they start doing graffiti art?
  • Does the artwork make the town colourful or just more artwork to make it like an art town.

WAS SURPRISED ABOUT
  • That the town closed down the art store but there were pictures that were hanged outside on walls.

  • That all the paintings on the walls look really cool.
  •  That wayne and other artist did all the amazing artwork on the walls even though I thought they weren’t artists.

LIKED
  • The cool graffiti pictures that are in the book because, they look creative and cool.

  • I liked how Holly Ross painted on the walls WE GOT THE SUNSHINE.
  •  Wayne painted on the walls different stuff that we have at home. He says that it reminds people of those that have lost something in the earth quakes.

DIDN’T
LIKE
  • The people that closed the shop because of the earthquake that happened.

  • How the earthquakes happened and houses broke down and about %50 of artwork were broken.
  •  People that lost there things in the earthquake.

WHAT
DO WE
NEED TO
CHANGE.

  • People doing just less graffiti because I think some people don’t like art that much.

  • The earthquake not happening because people are very sad losing their belongings.
  • Make christchurch look beautiful with the graffiti and art.

MADE ME THINK ABOUT
  • Doing art with our teacher because she is really creative at doing art.

  • The installation art that we did with our teacher last year.
  •  Painting in kindy when I was little.

DIDN’T UNDERSTAND
  • Nothing

  • Nothing
  •  Nothing

skateboarding lesson

Hello again, For the past couple of weeks we have been doing skateboarding lessons. It is very complicated to ride a skateboard because you have to learn different ways to ride and balance. Our skateboarding teachers are called Aidan and Martin, they are professionals at skating, they are also very good at teaching us. As you can see underneath this writing is an Acrostic poem that I wrote about our skateboarding lessons.

Starting to put on my gear,
Kindly the men helped me.
Aiming to ride in a very straight line
Testing out my pink skateboard,
Elbow pads protect my elbows
Here is a photo of us with our coloured skateboards.

Here is another photo of Joyce helping Hilary tighten her helmet.

Blue, yellow, red coloured skateboards
Oh! NO! Wrong direction.
Always wear a helmet while skating.
Remember to look straight ahead.
Don’t give up on anything you haven’t done before.
In coming! A skateboard is approaching,
Never give up and keep trying
Giving everything 100%

It was really fun doing skateboarding. Since we have had skateboarding lessons, I can now SKATEBOARD. I think skateboarding is really fun to do because you can have free time skating. If you didn't know how to skate then you wouldn't know how to balance, while riding bikes and other biycycles. Maybe ask your parents if you can try out a skateboarding class, and have a go at riding. Remember if you are reading this now please comment and I will reply back with a positive and thoughtful comment.

See you my bloggers.
