Let's get our thinking hats on

Kia ora bloggers,
I am here again to share you this piece of work. We were learning to use De bono thinking hats to show understanding. This week we were asked to smurf this document and fill it in. As you can see here is the document. What we actually had to do was to write about our feelings about the new buildings. Our new building is called Te waka Ako ( the canoe of learning ).  Last week we had a opening ceramony on the new classrooms. The Kapa Haka group performed, and then Mr Wood came up and cut the ribbon, which means that we were afficially allowed to be in the classrooms !FOREVER!. Here are some photo's from the opening ceramony.

This is a picture of the Kapa Haka group performing.

This is also another photo of Mr Wood cutting the special ribbon.

Here is the last phot of Mrs Peterson and the new Te waka Ako sign that Ms Sands painted.

I learnt that these thinking hats had different emotions and feelings. I feel happy about having this new classroom and new furniture. The challenges that happened were just that the blue and green thinking hats were hard to answer. I think we might change the furniture around in the next couple of years. Thanks for coming and checking out my work.
See you later with more exciting work!!!!!

Dinosaur experience

Aloha bloggers,
This piece of work is called the tooth. In class we have been reading this book. This slideshow has information about the book. I think the book was very interesting because of how this boy called Timothy goes on an adventure finding this strange, tooth that he saw when he was only 4 years old. It is also a sad story because his mum died when he was little. It took quite a long time to finish this piece of work because we were doing a lot of Anzac work. That's all I got for now but don't worry there is more work coming up.

Cultural paintings

This week we have been taking screen shots of our art work that we did in Term 1. Then we put it on a google drawing called My Fatu Feu'u painting. We wrote about why we chose the patterns and what the different shapes we used. Then we put a picture of our own art work on the document. We all have six different patterns that we used in our art work.

Hello bloggers, I am here posting my art work. As you can see there is no picture of it, but don't worry I have a link to get you all the way to my work. There is a link that's in purple. If you click on the purple link it will take you to my work.

Dear diary,
The food over here is horrible. The food over here is not better than the food you make.See you on the other side.I wish I was at home.As the rain comes down you can taste the water as it's slowly comes down onto your tongue.

Gas as it flows into the air.The rotten food as I watch the rats scrambling for food. The blood of the dead as they lay on the ground. The mud as I shoot and shoot over the trenches. My dirty uniform as I sit under my trench.

I feel ashamed of joining the war.I should have listened to you.Your right it’s too dangerous.I feel sad because we are doing war until 1919.But don’t worry I will still be sending letters.

It made me think about how people die today even though it is not war.I think war should have happened because people would have wanted to risk their lives for their country.

                                                                  Hello again bloggers,
I am here with my trench diary. In this diary I have written about what it would be like in World War 1 & 2. I wrote about what I could see, hear, taste, smell, touch, feel and also think. It took quite a long time to to get this done but I finished it. Feel free to read this piece of work & also feel free to leave a comment for me.
