Hello Diary

WALT describe using our senses
Eye, Glasses - Free illustrations on Pixabay
Huge rats that are the size of cats.Dead people lying on the ground with blood circling on the ground.Rats fighting over the canned food and rotten biscuits.I could also see people carrying wounded men on stretcher bearers.

Screaming from men that have been shot to death.Bombs exploding as they come down from the sky.Cats hissing at the rats as they see food.Gun shooting as the bombs come down on top.The airplanes as they shoot too.

Dear diary,
The food over here is horrible. The food over here is not better than the food you make.See you on the other side.I wish I was at home.As the rain comes down you can taste the water as it's slowly comes down onto your tongue.

Gas as it flows into the air.The rotten food as I watch the rats scrambling for food. The blood of the dead as they lay on the ground. The mud as I shoot and shoot over the trenches. My dirty uniform as I sit under my trench.

Bugs as the crawl all over my body.Lice wriggling in my hair as I scratch and scratch. The rain as it drops onto my hands and head.I can feel the wind as it blows into my face.My clothes that they are damp and dirty from the rain and mud.

I feel ashamed of joining the war.I should have listened to you.Your right it’s too dangerous.I feel sad because we are doing war until 1919.But don’t worry I will still be sending letters.

It made me think about how people die today even though it is not war.I think war should have happened because people would have wanted to risk their lives for their country.

                                                                  Hello again bloggers,
I am here with my trench diary. In this diary I have written about what it would be like in World War 1 & 2. I wrote about what I could see, hear, taste, smell, touch, feel and also think. It took quite a long time to to get this done but I finished it. Feel free to read this piece of work & also feel free to leave a comment for me.
SEE YOU LATER WITH MORE WORK COMING

  1. You have really thought about the conditions and put yourself in their shoes Kayci. It must have been terrible to be a part of 100 years ago. How do you find doing this work? Did it make you feel sad or happy that you live now or both maybe?
