Geometry shapes

Aloha bloggers from around the world,
I am here sharing with you an FANTASTIC! piece of art that we have been doing this week. In maths we have been building models which were tents. We had to think of different ways on how to build the roof and side of the of the tent. We all worked independently in seperate classrooms so that we could finish the art before lunch. Te Waka Ako all  had 3 materials to make a tent, the materials were toothpicks, plasta clay and a white board to put the model ontop. This picture of my tent was my second model because the first model fell apart because the clay is heavier than the toothpicks so it collapsed. Instead of using the first model I thought of another way to make the tent so I came up with an Idea like this when I did the finishing touches it didn't fall.
At first I didn't think that building a tent was part of maths. My first tent that I made was a shape of a rectangle square shape. Mr Ross thought that it would still stand while I play outside for morning tea but, instead when I came back from morning tea and it had collapsed. It have learnt that if I use small bits of clay it wouldn't fall apart but for my first model I put big bits of clay which didn't work. The teachers didn't really explain but it was a making the tent. Sorry if you want to read more but I have finished now. If you want to see more of my work come and visit to see more and post  a positive and thougthful comment below.

I know what we can play ..... GUESS WHO?

Talofa lava & Kia ora,

Guess who this pretty looking girl is. Yes you guessed it, it's !ME!. In our cybersmart lesson we have been working with our funny and lovely cybersmart teacher Gerod. This term I have been introduced to a site called 'Be Funky', there are so many cool things that you can do on 'Be Funky'. One of my favourite things to do on this site is taking a photo of my face (as you can see below) and changed some facial parts, for example I was able to shrink my eyes and change my hair colour. Even with the changes you can still recognise me. Another site that I went on is called thinglink where you can screenshot a photo of yourself, post it on thinglink and describe about yourself. I have put up two videos that is important to me especially the Samoan video because that's my nationality. This is a cool way of connecting with other Samoans in New Zealand and around the world.

For more ideas on how to make yourself look different, I suggest you could click on both youtube  links that are below.

I have learnt that you could change yourself in many different ways. If you are really interested in doing this, just type in Be funky and challenge yourself. If you are reading this piece of work right now please leave a comment bellow fo me to recieve and aslo read.
